Feltonfleet is celebrating a record-breaking evening of swimming, with three school records being broken during a close-fought gala victory at home.  Swimmers from Year 4 to Year 8 excelled themselves in the pool against Cranleigh Prep last Monday. At the half way mark there were a mere three points between the two teams and by the end of the gala Feltonfleet were declared the winners by just nine points.

Overall Result: 214 Feltonfleet; 205 Cranleigh

U13 Result - 38:42 Cranleigh win

U12 Result - 40:40 Draw

U11 Result - 43:37 Feltonfleet win

U10 Result - 42:37 Feltonfleet win

U9 Result - 41:39 Feltonfleet win

What a fantastic gala! The spectators were on the edge of their seats as they witnessed photo finish races where every point counted and every swimmer rose to the challenge. Congratulations to Navik and Alexandra on their first event as Captains.

School records are harder and harder to come by and three records were broken on the day.

U11 Medley Relay 44.58sec (Nathan, Phoebe, Valerio, Max) just 0.12 seconds faster than the 2015 team which included Nathan’s sister Nicole

U11 30m Backstroke (22.27 sec) - Nathan F

U12 30 Freestyle (18.19sec) - Will K breaking Austin Wallis’ record of 2012

Congratulations team, we are excited for the season ahead.
