‘It’s like a second home,’ says a Feltonfleet pupil. And although 75 per cent of its charges live locally, many take the school bus from south-west London to travel to this 25-acre corner of rural Surrey. Head Shelley Lance is ‘excellent’ and, according to one enthusiast, has ‘made the school the best it could be’. Climbing is popular (the school boasts its own wall); 84 per cent of pupils learn an instrument; and the boys were recent IAPS national football finalists. A new art studio and wellbeing centre have been unveiled, and a STEM centre is on the horizon. ‘Kind, enthusiastic and bright’ leavers move on to the likes of Charterhouse, Wellington and Brighton College.
