Our boarders share more than just their evenings - they become part of a close-knit community built on friendship, support, and camaraderie - the Feltonfleet Knights.
Just as knights of old upheld strong values and a deep sense of loyalty to one another, our boarders embrace the same spirit of unity. Each dorm proudly bears a shield at its entrance, displaying names that reflect the very qualities we nurture - Courage, Courteous, Excellence, Generous, Honour, Loyal, and Valour. The Feltonfleet Knights truly look out for one another, creating a warm and welcoming home from home.

The knighting ceremony is a momentous occasion, an opportunity to formally welcome the new heads of boarding and recognise that boarding (in flexi-form) lies at the heart of the community. |

Our Feltonfleet Knights Choices programme offers a wide range of structured activities that not only develop skills but also allow pupils to unwind and enjoy their time outside of core school hours. From karaoke sessions and cake decorating to music practice and academic support, there's something for everyone. We maintain a 'no phones' policy, encouraging boarders to fully embrace their childhood and engage in meaningful, hands-on experiences. Without the distractions of digital devices, pupils discover the value of face-to-face interactions, learn essential time management, and explore creative pursuits, all of which provide a strong foundation for their future success.
Being a Feltonfleet Knight feels like having a second family at school.
Year 7 Pupil
A mentorship scheme pairs older pupils with younger boarders, fostering leadership and strengthening the bonds within our community. This peer support system nurtures empathy, responsibility, and a sense of camaraderie among the boarders. Complementing this is our lively ‘Kangaroo Court,’ a fun and inclusive forum where boarders celebrate successes, recognise good behaviour, and express themselves in a supportive setting. This lighthearted tradition not only reinforces community spirit but also helps develop important social skills, such as public speaking, confidence, and self-esteem.
To further enrich our boarding experience, we host regular family events, including BBQs, coffee mornings, and Christmas parties. These gatherings strengthen the vital connection between school and home, creating a warm, supportive environment where our boarders truly thrive.
