Each year, Feltonfleet allocates a limited amount of funds to our bursary scheme, aimed at providing access to a Feltonfleet education for pupils who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
These bursaries are reserved for children who would significantly benefit from our school's nurturing environment, such as:
- Children facing social difficulties, such as bullying or challenging home situations, who have the potential to thrive within Feltonfleet's strong community and receive support from our robust pastoral care system.
- Gifted children, for whom the individual attention and enrichment opportunities at Feltonfleet could enable them to realise their full potential more effectively than in a different educational setting.
When considering bursary applications, we carefully assess the extent of the family's financial need. Bursaries are awarded based on a thorough means-test that evaluates income, capital resources (such as the family home), and any existing debt. This process is repeated annually, ensuring that the support provided remains aligned with both financial need and the progress made by the recipient. All information is treated with the utmost confidentiality.
All children have the potential to thrive when given the right opportunities, and we believe it is both a privilege and a responsibility to offer those opportunities. In doing so, we not only transform the lives of the children we support, but also enrich the fabric of our entire school community.

Given the high demand for bursaries and the finite nature of our fund, not all deserving cases can be accommodated. We encourage families to apply only if they have a genuine financial need and for children who are likely to derive particular benefit. Bursaries are granted solely on this basis, and applications are only considered for children entering Year 3 or above.
Bursary applications are accepted throughout the academic year, but once the allocated funds are exhausted, no additional bursaries will be available until the following academic year, and only then if there are unallocated funds.
The school maintains full discretion over the allocation of bursaries and reserves the right to determine eligibility based on all relevant information.
