Enrichment is at the heart of everything we do at Feltonfleet, and this ensures every child develops to their full potential, both academically and personally, whatever their needs or abilities.
Learning Enrichment is integral to our inclusive approach. When a pupil’s ability to learn, achieve or feel a sense of belonging is influenced by a learning difference or need, we take deliberate, adaptive action to support, challenge and nurture them within a caring environment.
We place great emphasis on understanding each pupil as an individual, recognising their unique background, family context and life experiences. Our commitment to inclusion means we actively ensure that all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, are visible, heard, represented and valued across the curriculum, within our resources, classroom environments and teaching practices.
Through our inclusive and supportive framework, every child is encouraged to reach their full potential, both academically and personally, whatever their starting point or individual needs.
Adaptive teaching is embedded in our school approach, enabling us to tailor learning to meet the diverse needs of our pupils. Through adaptive teaching methods, Learning Enrichment is integral to our teaching of all pupils, and all of our teachers take responsibility for its provision. Central to the work of every teacher is a continuous cycle of planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation that takes account of abilities, aptitudes and interests of the pupils.
At Feltonfleet, I feel accepted for who I am. Everyone is unique, and that diversity makes the world special. We all learn from each other and grow together.

Stretching Horizons
All pupils are challenged and encouraged to go beyond their comfort zone, to keep them engaged in the learning process and to see just what they can achieve. A wide range of extension and enrichment resources are used in lessons to stimulate pupils' interests and enhance their thinking skills. The goal is not to provide children who show mastery of a notion with ‘more of the same’ but is firmly on stimulating and challenging them to move beyond procedural knowledge to conceptual fluency, and to allow them to explore new ways of learning.
Additional Support
Early identification of learning barriers is essential to helping pupils succeed, which is why we regularly assess our current pupils and screen all new arrivals to create tailored learning support plans. Feltonfleet’s well-resourced Learning Enrichment department, centrally located within the school, is staffed by experienced and qualified teachers who specialise in supporting pupils with a range of specific learning difficulties, or who have English as a second language.
Our culture of acceptance, inclusion, and understanding helps all our pupils to embrace differences and champion each other's strengths. Learning Enrichment is part of every classroom - woven into every lesson - ensuring every pupil can thrive.
