Nurturing our own Wellbeing in Nursery | Newsletters

Nurturing a positive mindset, and helping children understand and manage their feelings, lays the foundation for lifelong mental and emotional health.

In Nursery, we create a warm, trusting relationship with every pupil and this has supported them to express their feelings and to develop their confidence. In addition, we use Feelings Charts to support the pupils to name and recognise their feelings. Most importantly, we model respectful communication and empathy in everyday interactions with our Nursery pupils.

Our Nursery routines provide a sense of belonging, security and consistency for all our pupils and this is especially visible through our daily practice of mindfulness. Our aim is to help every pupil feel happy, calm and ready to learn. Thank you for working with us to support our Nursery pupils' wellbeing.
