We are incredibly proud to celebrate the success of six Middle School pupils — Luca, Max, Jack, James, Christopher and Ben — who reached the Bonus Round of the prestigious Primary Maths Challenge (PMC) this year.
After scoring near full marks in the November round, these pupils were invited to take part in the highly competitive Bonus Round - a remarkable achievement in itself, placing them among the top young mathematicians in the country.
The Bonus Round presented 25 complex, non-routine questions that pushed their problem-solving skills to the limit. In preparation, the boys worked hard to complete practice papers and refine their strategies, showing focus, perseverance and real enthusiasm for mathematical thinking.
Maths Teacher, Nicola Shervell, commented:
"All six represented Feltonfleet brilliantly and tackled the challenge with maturity and determination. A special congratulations goes to Ben, Christopher and Luca, who were each awarded a Bronze Award — an excellent result in a demanding national competition."
