IAPS Triathlon Championship 2025 | News

This year, Feltonfleet was proud to take a record number of pupils to compete in the IAPS Triathlon Championship, once again hosted by Monkton Prep in the stunning Somerset countryside.

The sun was shining, creating the perfect backdrop for an exciting and challenging day of sport. The event kicked off with the U11 girls and boys, each taking on a demanding course that included a 200m swim, 4000m cycle, and 1800m run, along with two smooth but crucial transitions. There was nothing easy about this race, and the U11s rose to the challenge with grit and determination, cheered on enthusiastically by parents and the U12/13 competitors.

Next up were the U12/13 boys and girls. The U13 course increased in difficulty, with a 300m swim, 6000m cycle, and a 2400m run - but our athletes took it all in their stride. A special mention must go to Oscar and Ned who, after taking a tumble on their bikes, quickly dusted themselves off and pushed on with impressive resilience and focus.

Head of Upper School and Sports Teacher, Ben Baldwin, commented:

Huge thanks go to all the pupils for their fantastic efforts and sportsmanship, and to the parents who travelled to Monkton to support the team. It was a terrific day, and everyone who took part represented Feltonfleet with great spirit and pride.
