It has been a fantastic and action-packed start to the football season here at Feltonfleet, with a number of exciting events already taking place across all age groups. The passion, sportsmanship and commitment shown by the pupils has been outstanding and reflects the school's strong sporting spirit.
House Football Highlights
The House Football competitions have brought brilliant energy to the pitches, with pupils across the school showcasing their talent and teamwork.
Lower School saw some thrilling matches, with Badgers emerging victorious after a strong display of teamwork and determination.
In Upper School, it was Otters who lifted the trophy, edging out their rivals with a series of confident performances and a real sense of togetherness.
The Middle School House Football competition is eagerly anticipated, though unfortunately, a thunderstorm led to a postponement. We look forward to seeing the competition resume as soon as conditions allow.
U9s Shine at Hawthorn’s Tournament
The U9 football team made a superb effort at the Hawthorn’s Tournament, finishing as runners-up in the Plate competition. It was a very tight finish, with the boys narrowly missing out on first place on goal difference alone. Their performances were full of energy, teamwork and resilience – a fantastic achievement for the team so early in the season.
Year 3: First Fixtures and House Football Debut
A special mention must go to our Year 3 pupils, who took part in their first ever House Football event. The excitement and enthusiasm were clear to see, and it was wonderful to watch them beginning their football journey at Feltonfleet.
Year 3 also recently played their first ever fixtures away at Milbourne Lodge, marking a major milestone. The experience gained will no doubt serve them well as they continue to develop their skills and confidence.
U11 Teams Off to an Unbeaten Start
A huge congratulations to all the U11 boys, as the entire year group (teams A through D) have made an unbeaten start to the season. This is a remarkable achievement and testament not only to their ability, but also to the attitude, effort and team spirit they have shown throughout. The boys continue to train and play with focus, enthusiasm, and pride in representing Feltonfleet.
With so many positive performances and milestones already, it promises to be a thrilling season ahead for Feltonfleet football. We look forward to seeing more progress, more goals, and plenty more smiles on and off the pitch.
