Our brilliant Friends of Feltonfleet and our enthusiastic Pre-Prep staff were thrilled to transform Calvi Playground into a vibrant, festival-themed garden for this year’s highly anticipated Pre-Prep Disco.
The sunshine was out, the music was loud, and the excitement was contagious as children from Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 eagerly collected their VIP passes - thank you, FoF! - to exit Calvi House and step into our very own mini "Glastonbury".
With one of our talented parents acting as DJ, the garden pulsed with energy as children danced, sang and celebrated together under the open sky. The atmosphere was electric, and the sound of laughter and music filled the air. Much like a real festival, there were queues - but not for headline acts! Instead, pupils patiently lined up for a go at the lucky dip stall, to receive beautiful flower garlands that added a magical flair to their disco outfits, and, of course, to cool down with a well-earned ice pop.
From impromptu dance-offs to group singalongs, the afternoon was filled with joy, community spirit and plenty of impressive moves from both pupils and staff alike. It was a memorable event that perfectly captured the spirit of summer and the strength of our school community.
Head of Pre-Prep, Gerry Deen said:
"Events like this remind us how special it is to be part of a community that comes together so generously to create lasting memories for our youngest pupils."
A heartfelt thank you to FoF for organising such a fantastic event and for helping to create such special memories for our Pre-Prep children. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
