Feltonfleet welcomed back 60 former pupils and their parents to reconnect, reflect and celebrate as they conclude their A-levels.
This alumni celebration was particularly poignant as many of the cohort were unable to enjoy their final term at Feltonfleet due to the 2020 lockdown.
The afternoon began with a warm welcome and catch-up in the Ashbee Theatre, followed by a relaxed BBQ lunch by the Pavilion. Former pupils then enjoyed touring the grounds and buildings – many reminiscing fondly about their time at Feltonfleet, and marvelling at how the school has grown and changed in the years since they left.
Feedback from families highlighted the emotional significance of the afternoon. One parent shared,
“It was lovely to see so many of that year group back together again – especially as they were truly robbed of their last term at Feltonfleet. Their friendships have remained incredibly strong, and it was wonderful to see them reconnect so easily.”
Another alumni parent added,
“I honestly believe Feltonfleet gave them such a strong start to their lives... Yesterday brought a real sense of closure, and it was a truly enjoyable afternoon.”
Former pupils spoke warmly about the enduring bonds they formed during their time at Feltonfleet, and how those friendships have lasted through their secondary school journeys. One summed it up perfectly:
“Thank you for hosting such a lovely event. It was a real pleasure to return to Feltonfleet and reconnect with members of my former cohort. We all really enjoyed reminiscing about our time at the school…It’s easy to see that the school continues to be such a wonderful and inspiring place.”
Our thanks go to all the staff who helped make the event such a success, particularly those who opened up classrooms and shared in the tours. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of alumni in the years to come.
