On Wednesday, pupils from Years 3 to 8 took to the field dressed proudly in their house colours, ready to give their all in what has become one of the most anticipated events of the school year.
Despite the drizzle and damp conditions, spirits remained high and energy even higher. Pupils embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and resilience, proving that not even rain could dampen the Feltonfleet spirit.
From sprints to relays, long jumps to javelin throws, the events were fiercely contested. The rain may have made things slippery, but it also added to the drama and excitement — especially during the final relays where cheers rose above the sound of splashing footsteps!
Throughout the afternoon, we witnessed tense finishes, dramatic throws, and an incredible display of sportsmanship. Whether winning or cheering from the sidelines, every pupil embodied the values of teamwork, encouragement, and perseverance.
Once the final races had been run and the last points tallied, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived. Head of Houses, David Pearce, stepped forward to reveal the final standings:
4th place – Foxes
3rd place – Badgers
2nd place – Tigers
And the winners of Sports Day 2025... The Otters!
A huge congratulations to the Otters for their outstanding performance and to every pupil who took part for making the day such a success.
Thank you to the staff, parents, and supporters who helped create a truly memorable celebration of sport, house spirit, and the strength of our school community — rain and all!
