Feltonfleet Alumnus Earns First England Cap in Futsal | News | Feltonfleet | Private School in Surrey

Feltonfleet proudly announces the recent achievement of Charlie Wilson-Papps, who has received his first England cap in futsal.

Charlie, a standout athlete during his Feltonfleet years, continues to thrive in his evolving sports career. His stellar performance led to a coveted spot on the England futsal team after showcasing his exceptional skills in recent matches against Scotland and Belgium last week.

Futsal, a fast-paced and skilful variant of football, demands precision, agility, and teamwork. Charlie's selection for the national team is testament to his dedication and talent, as well as the strong foundation laid during his formative years at Feltonfleet.

Headmistress Shelley Lance expressed immense pride in Charlie's accomplishments, stating

"We are thrilled to see Charlie reach this milestone so early in his sports career. His success on the international stage reflects his individual talent, but also underscores the excellent coaching he received during his time at Feltonfleet, complemented by our innovative and inspiring sports curriculum. I anticipate we will be hearing more about Charlie’s success in the future, who I have no doubt will continue to achieve great heights."

Charlie left Feltonfleet aged 13 in 2023, moving on to Epsom College where he has continued to shine in the world of sport. Charlie’s father, Rob Papps, paid tribute to Feltonfleet’s role in the success of Charlie and his brother, saying “Feltonfleet has done them proud and the best decision we made was putting them both with [Feltonfleet]”.
