Last Tuesday, Year 4 went to Butser Ancient Farm. We asked Annabel if she had enjoyed her day and this was her report:
“It was awesome! We all mixed water, mud and chalk to make clunch, which is a traditional building material. It was fun and very messy! We also made jewellery out of copper wire. I made a swirly ring. I learned that Celts used to live in round houses with thatched roofs. My favourite part of the day was spinning sheep’s wool using a spindle. This was a great introduction to the Celts and I can’t wait to learn more!”
Thank you Annabel, what an exciting and interesting day!
