Year 2 visit Whiteley Village and Wisley Gardens

On Wednesday 7th June, Year 2 went back to Whiteley Village to sing some of their new songs to the residents. Our songs included ‘Happy Talk’, ‘Getting to Know You’ and some other lovely numbers. They were accompanied by Mr Andrews on the piano and after their singing the pupils enjoyed a drink and snack with the very happy residents.

We left Whiteley Village and then went straight to Wisley Gardens where luckily the weather stayed dry for us. After a lovely picnic lunch we had a little bit of time to go on the adventure playground area but this was very busy. This was followed by our Art Session in the Glasshouse. The pupils sketched some of the larger plants, a flowering plant and some of the cacti.

Sadly the day had to come to an end and we wandered back via Miss Bray’s favourite pond and were very lucky to meet some adult artists sketching the pond, a Mummy duck and her two very friendly ducklings and some very large koi carp.

What a super day and well done Year 2 for some super and sensible behaviour.
