As usual, the competition is made up of a chemistry, biology and physics task and all three were certainly challenging. Excellent teamwork and communication were as much a part of the task as scientific understanding.
At the end of the afternoon, all the pupils were rewarded with a fascinating display of weird and wonderful liquids and best of all, not one but two nitrogen bombs. Although we didn’t come in the top three, the children approached the whole afternoon with great determination and effort. Well done to all involved.
