In celebration of Poetry Day today Year 1 had fun reciting their Pizza poem that they learnt for our Harvest assembly last week.

Year 2 did an assembly on friendship and we included a nice poem on friends!

Year 4 read the poem HEARD IT IN THE PLAYGROUND by Alan Ahlberg.  They were put into groups and spoke it in parts.  There were some words in the poem they loved saying out loud!!

Following on from their visit to Tate Britain, Year 7 used Turner’s paintings to inspire word string poems, from the words that the paintings conjured up in their minds.
