Top class cricket

The 1st XI battled bravely against a powerful Kings House team on the main square, but the opposition were quite outstanding in every facet of the game. Their openers built a substantial total and then a combination of accurate bowling and superlative fielding made the run chase very hard going. Jos Pinnington batted impressively, working the ball to leg, and ensured the game went the full distance on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning.
