Lacrosse Tournament Mar 2010

This Sunday a group of year 5 and 6 girls stepped out on what was an icy morning to play in their first Lacrosse tournament. The tournament which was organised by Cobham Lacrosse Club and held at Feltonfleet was the final part of a series of sessions in the grils games programme. The sessions run by Lindsay McDonald have helped the girls to learn the basics of the pop Lacrosse and provide a fantastic opportunity for those girls heading off to senior schools that play Lacrosse to develop the skills they need.

The tournament which was attended by 6 schools proved to be thoroughly enjoyable for the girls and supporters alike.

Year 5 Results

Year 6 Results

The year 6 team played extremely well, winning 3 out of their 4 games meaning they qualified for the semi finals. This proved to be a tough match against St Charles 1. We got off to a strong start and scored a goal however the girls couldn’t hold off St Charles who won the game 3-1. They also went on to win the tournament!

Overall this proved to be a fantastic morning for all involved, well done to all the girls who took part and thank you to Miss Bray and Miss Georgina for helping with the teams.
