Another week and another Boarding Experience. This time it was the Year 6 boys and girls who rode into town for the ‘Wild West Experience. The weekend started with line dancing led by Miss Miles and Mr Gloster. There were some very creative moves and I was impressed by how keen everyone was and also how competitive it got. This was followed by Piñata making with Mr Richardson. The evening meal was a monstrous affair with ribs, corn, enchiladas, pepper cheese and the biggest chocolate cake I have ever seen!
On Saturday we braved the cold to shoot critters on the range with Doc Hames, round up cattle with me and even milk a cow with Mr Pomeroy (not a real one!) The weekend came to a conclusion with the treasure hunt and the overall team competition was as follows; 4th place- Bean Eaters (Chomp, Chomp, Chomp), 3rd place – Long Horns, 2nd place – Smith and Wesson and 1st place – Whip Crackers. Well done to all the boys and girls (and staff) for making this such a enjoyable event.
