As some of you may know Martha Lewis in Year 5 is a budding golfer who has achieved many things in her golfing career. Her most recent achievements include taking part in the junior world golf championships in America where she came 20th out 73 competitors, making her the highest finishing British player. The Wellington competition was the first time Martha could represent Feltonfleet and also the first time I could see her in action. After a great practise round in the morning, we enjoyed lunch and headed back to the course for the 9 hole competition. Martha played extremely well against tough opposition, many of whom where older than her. She held her own and finished 1st in the net stableford competition, beating 17 other competitors. A fantastic achievement for a great golfer, who I believe is destined to go far! I would like to thank Evelyn (Martha’s mum) for being a great caddy and Martha for a great day of golf.
