Last term saw three successful productions in the Main School: in May a troupe of Year 7s won the award for ‘best overall contribution’ when they performed their review on the History of Theatre at the Leatherhead Drama Festival; in June Year 6 swashed their buckles to great effect, acting with gusto in ‘The Three Musketeers’ on a specially built outdoor stage; and later the same month Year 8 brought their prep school careers to a suitably enthusiastic close when they presented their ‘Farewell to Feltonfleet’ review on Prize Day.
This term the big drama event will be Year 7’s all-singing, all-dancing Christmas spectacular ‘The Return of Peter Pan’ to be performed on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 December. Then in the Spring Years 3 and 4 will be taking us to the circus in ‘Alexis the Circus Boy’ when we hope to build a Big Top inside the Sports Hall, and in March Year 6 will be taking over – in more ways than one – when they present ‘Children in Charge’ for two performances in the PAC. Lots to look forward to!
