Vocal Workshop for Year 5- Monday 28th September 2009

We were treated to an excellent singing workshop, provided by Mr Allan Adams, an opera singer from the English National Opera Company in London.  He took the children through a series of physical and vocal warm ups, before teaching them the song: ”We’re all in this together” from “High School Musical”. Not only that, but he sang an aria from the opera “Turandot” ( the one that Pavarotti sang for the Italy World Cup of many years ago ), with whom Allan has performed! As well as the folk song “O Sole Mio” ( the Cornetto theme tune ! ). Congratulations and thanks to all the children in Year 5 for participating so enthusiastically, as well as Mrs Edwards, the mother of Mackenna in Year 5, for having bid for and won this prize earlier in the year.
