The David Rutherford Poetry Prize Competition

Eight children have won through to the finals of the first David Rutherford Poetry Prize Competition. Joshua Lad, Gussie Le Roux, Elspeth Aylett, Brandon Sumner, Emily Ivey, Alasdair Robinson, Olivia Hardy, and Ruaridh Kelly each wrote an excellent poem which has been chosen by a panel of teachers, including the Headmaster, to go through to the final. The successful poets read their poems out aloud to the whole school at assembly this week, and will read their poem again on Prize Day from the balcony of the tree house. The overall winner will be announced during prize giving on June 27th. The standard has been very high, and congratulations to the many children who took part.
