Year 5 visited Lullingstone Roman Villa in Kent.. They did a fascinating workshop learning about ‘Magic and Medicine’, including all sorts of squeamish details! They visited the museum, used worksheets to direct their learning and saw a short video about the development of the villa during the Roman period. The children all received a replica coin from the time of Hadrian, which fits well with their studies this year. After a packed lunch in the sunshine we walked along the lane to look at Lullingstone Castle which dates, in its present form, from the 15th Century.
