An informal lunchtime concert – to play and listen

We are keen to increase the opportunities for children to showcase their passion for music and performing arts, and this first informal lunch time concert was a wonderfully uplifting and rewarding way to being the process. The purpose is to enable a small group of young musicians to gain some experience of playing in front of a small audience, made up of their parents, friends and some teachers without the added pressure of playing in a much larger, formal school concert. We enjoyed a varied and polished programme, and I couldn’t imagine a better way to end the week. My warm congratulations to the children, and my thanks to Goldi Novkovic and Emma Hawksley who inspired the event, and all of you who came along to support the children.
