The Magic Flute – a critic’s view
Two of the stars of the ENO’s production The Magic Flute at London’s Coliseum are Harry Manton (in Year 6) and his brother Charlie, who left us for Reeds a year ago who play two of the Three Boys. This is what the Spectator had to say about their performances in a recent review;
“The stars of the show, however, are The Three Boys, the best I have ever seen or heard. Not only do they sing their music with radiant purity of tone, without sounding like refugees from a cathedral choir, but they act with more intelligence and a greater sense of what is demanded by their crucial role than anyone else on stage.”
Very well done, Harry, and to Charlie as well.
