Year 6 pupils welcomed residents from Whiteley Village at their first performance of Grimm's Tales on Wednesday. The residents, now regular visitors to the school's various productions thoroughly enjoyed the famous Fairy Tales which tell stories of kings, magic and talking animals teaching moral values and right and wrong.
The pupils, directed by their teacher Louise Crawford dramatised a selection of the Grimmsí Tales collected by the Brothers Grimm over 200 years ago. With minimal set design and coloured silk costumes, the childrenís creativity is emphasised and their developing acting skills put on show as they retell tales including Snow White, Aschenputtel, Rumpelstiltskin, Brother Scamp and many more.
