Mathematical Olympians

Feltonfleet has achieved amazing success in the United Kingdom Maths Challenge achieving a record number of certificates. Two pupils achieved such a high mark that they have qualified for the National Mathematics Olympiad which will take place in June.

The Maths Challenge encourages mathematical thinking and the use of techniques to solve unusual maths problems. In 2008 over 1/4 million pupils were entered, gold certificates were awarded to the top 5% of pupils, silver to the top 12% and bronze to the top 21% of pupils entered.
