This Summer, thirteen pupils from Feltonfleet School performed “Lord of the Flies” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was Feltonfleet’s third year at the Fringe and their third successive sell-out run. The young actors and actresses, aged between 12 and 13 staged six performances of the show to packed houses and standing ovations. The show garnered critical praise including a five star review from Edinburgh journalist Alison Fraser who said the production was “a powerful and captivating ride… fresh, breathtaking and extremely impressive”. BroadwayBaby, the internet review site called it “moving and shocking”. Alasdair Richardson, the show’s Director and Head of Pastoral Care at Feltonfleet congratulated the cast for their “enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism. To perform at the world’s biggest arts festival and to be judged as outstanding when your peers are world-famous professional artists is quite an achievement! We’re all very proud of our young actors and actresses" |
