Annual 1st XV Dinner – Esher RFC
This year’s outstanding 1st XV squad, their parents, coaches, and staff gathered on Friday evening at Esher RFC to celebrate one of the finest 1st XV seasons for several years. Bill Davison, the former Harlequins player, was our guest of honour and entertained us all with some amusing and inspirational highlights from his playing career. Before that master in charge, Peter Breakwell, recalled the endeavours of every player in the squad, and in particular praised the captaincy of Jack Stileman, and the inspirational influence of No 8 and player of the season, Ryan Baitz. Jack Stileman recounted a game by game account of the season in his speech, after which there were presentations made by the players to PB, and by PB to his squad. The evening ended with Dean Santon giving a match ball to every boy who played for this superb side. A terrific conclusion to a great season.
