The environment and sustainable development in particular, is now an important consideration in all aspects of school life. The Eco Committee is the driving force behind environmental initiatives. This is chaired by Mr Pomeroy and consists of four Year 8 pupils, a Governor (Mr Wimbush), the Headmaster, the Bursar, Miss Bray (Juniors) and Miss O’Toole (Calvi). The Eco Committee Reps for 2009-10 are Harry Lonsdale, Ben Barclay, Ella Flashman and Olivia Pollock. The Eco Committee works closely with the School Council to promote sustainability. The Eco Committee thought hard about how we can live our lives at school and at home to come up with our school Eco Code, which outlines our commitment to a sustainable future. The pond Our major project currently is the restoration of the school pond and surrounding habitat, which will be the focal point of our outdoor learning.
