Friends of Feltonfleet
Who is on the Committee and what does it do?
The Friends of Feltonfleet committee consists of a number of parent volunteers representing each class from Calvi Nursery to Year 8 and a small executive committee who take care of treasury, publicity, catering etc. Any parent can apply for a position on the committee and roles typically refresh every two years. Form reps are your initial contact with the work of Friends and they will keep you updated on forthcoming events and arrange opportunities for parent get-togethers.
The primary purpose of the committee is to arrange social activities for the school community as a whole. Profits which are made from these events are contributed to school equipment and facilities and, additionally, in some measure to the wider community.
Typically we arrange events which can be enjoyed by the whole family, from a fireworks display in November to a family fun day in May. Look out for posters, weekly newsletter entries and mail shots advertising all these events.
How Can I help?
You are welcome at any time to attend a committee meeting to meet us and find out what is happening or to contribute ideas. Meetings dates and times, which typically commence at 9am on a weekday, will be advertised in advance in the School Newsletter. Alternatively, ideas, questions and feedback can be communicated to me direct or to your form representative. There is a permanent mail tray in the School Admin Office, just inside the door. We look forward to enlisting your support and meeting you at social events arranged each term.
