Children at Felltonfleet can start to learn to dance in nursery and can carry on until Year 8.

Girls who study ballet follow The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, and at the end of each year take their relevant ballet exam.

Boys are also strongly encouraged to dance, however they prefer to do street dance and hip-hop.

In year 3 girls and boys have the opportunity to study jazz classes .These take place on Thursday lunch times. This style is very much freer than ballet.

At the end of the each school year ALL children who take part in any of the dance lessons perform in a show. This is shown to all the school and also to parents.

Uniform

All the uniform for ballet is sold at Unismart in Cobham, or at any leading dance shop.

Boy’s uniform is their PE kit. Jazz lessons the children are allowed to wear loose and comfortable clothes.
