Year Three Spring Term

The Spring Term takes our Year Three pupils off once again on another historical adventure - this time to Ancient Greece. The role of Crete in the development of Ancient Greek civilisation and the influence of King Minos is uncovered through the consideration of archaeological evidence found at the Palace of Knossos, while the legend of Theseus and the Minotaur thrills the children with wonder about past times and the depth of historical fact.

Rivalry between Athens and Sparta fuels fascinating debate while the cunning trickery of the horse of Troy feeds creative minds. A thoroughly engaging journey ending with features of Greek theatre and the history behind our modern Olympic Games.
