On Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd December 2011, the Year 7 pupils put on a fantastic performance of ‘Bugsy Malone’ by Alan Parker. The production took place in the sports hall, with a large stage constructed, allowing all the children to have their moment in the spotlight. Bugsy Malone, play by Alexander Knutsen, lead the show to victory, with Isabella Forshaw (Fat Sam) and Sam Reilly (Dandy Dan) bringing their gangster roles to life with conviction. Two talented girls played the beautiful Tallulah; India Howe and Olivia Cowen, with the role of Blousey shared between two strong actresses; Phoebe Armstrong and Eloise Barry. The chorus girls were magnificent, wowing us with their dancing, and the gang members were, let’s say, enthusiastic with their custard pies! The show was hugely enjoyable with every member of the cast contributing to the success of the performance.
