Miss Gray I joined the Boarding House when I came to Feltonfleet to teach Classics in 2004, having been part of the boarding community in my last school as well. My time in the House has been great fun and it has been a privilege to be part of all the developments and achievements of the House and the boarders over the past 4 years. The energy and enthusiasm of the boarders never ceases to amaze me, whether they are letting off steam in the sports hall, playing ‘fox and hounds’ in the woods in the summer, creating wonderful films on the iMac, acting, singing, or settling to revision sessions in the weeks leading up to exams. Being a House Tutor has been a great opportunity for me as a form tutor in the senior part of the school to extend my pastoral role into the less formal parts of the school day.It also allows you to get to know many of the pupils throughout the school in a more informal setting. The best thing about being part of the boarding house at Feltonfleet just has to be the ‘Feltonfleet Grab’ at the Christmas party…
Dr Hames I am now in my sixth year at Feltonfleet, and retain the duties with which I began full-time, as Head of Year 6 and teacher of Maths, English and Science in the senior school. I am also head of the Foxes section and Master in Charge of shooting at the school. In addition to using the ranges and charging around the sports hall with boarders, I am pleased to have recently qualified to take swimming sessions and look forward to more exercise in the pool. As some folk discovered recently, an ambition is to retrain a singing voice which has been neglected since it broke a few years ago! I am thoroughly enjoying my new role in the Boarding Community, and it is very rewarding to work with such a good bunch of boarders and colleagues. |
