Joining Us > Life at Feltonfleet > Middle School
The Middle School consists of Years 5 and 6. We are the 9-11 year olds. Here we have a form teacher, but we are taught by different teachers for each subject. In some subjects we are placed in different sets, for example Maths and English. It is good to get to know some new teachers, and to have the chance to move around and learn to be more organised. We each have a locker in our classroom for our books, and one for our games kit in the sports centre. We have games each afternoon, and we can join in lots of different clubs and activities at lunchtimes and after school. Many of us are learning to play a musical instrument, play in an orchestra or sing in the Middle School choir. A lot of us were in Robin Hood, the musical, last term. It was brilliant. There are some great clubs for us to do, especially on Thursdays, and I really enjoy playing in matches on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings. There is more prep than last year, and some of the girls are preparing for 11+ exams to their senior schools (although most stay until they are 13). The Headmaster encourages our parents to go and look at some senior schools which we might go to when we eventually leave Feltonfleet.
