You will join the Junior Department when you are either 7 (Year 3) or 8 (Year 4). You will have a class teacher who will teach you for most of your subjects in your classroom. You will be taught subjects like PE and Games, DT and IT, Music and French by specialist teachers. You will stay with your class teacher for a year before you move on. Your day begins with registration at 8.20am, followed by assembly with the rest of the School. You will have six lessons in the morning with a break time in the middle when there are drinks and biscuits. After lunch in the dining hall at 12.05pm, you will have games. This might be on the games fields, or in the sports centre. There are matches on Thursdays, and often on Saturdays, too.

There will be some prep, but not too much. There are clubs to join in, too. It is a tiring day, but great fun.
