Pre-Prep: Calvi House – Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2
Nursery and Reception
These two years follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum:
Personal,Social and Emotional Development, Communication, Language and Literacy, Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Creative Development, Physical Development In addition they are taught Music, French, ICT and Swimming and CAVE (Creative & Values Education) by specialist teachers
Subjects studied in Years 1 and 2: English, Mathematics, Science, French, Geography, History, ICT, DT, Art, Drama, Music, PE, RS, Positive Living,CAVE.
Pupils are taught mainly by their class teacher but French, Music, ICT and PE are specialist taught. |

Junior School – Years 3 and 4
Subjects studied in Years 3 and 4: English, Mathematics, Science, French, Geography, History, ICT, DT, Art, Drama, Music, PE, RS, Positive Living,CAVE.
Pupils are taught mainly by their form teacher but specialist teaching is introduced in French, DT, ICT, PE and Art. Each year group consists of 3 parallel classes with setting in English and Mathematics. |

Middle School – Years 5 and 6
Subjects studied in Year 5: English, Mathematics, Science, French, Geography, History, ICT, DT, Art, Drama, Music, PE, RS, Positive Living, CAVE.
Extra subjects studied in Year 6: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Latin, Spanish
Within this broad and balanced curriculum, pupils are taught by specialist teachers. Each year group consists of 3 parallel classes with setting in the core subjects.
Upper School – Years 7 and 8
Subjects studied in Year 7 and 8: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French, Spanish, Geography, History, ICT, DT, Art, Drama, Music, PE, RS, Positive Living, Latin, Extended Faculty Project
All subjects are taught by specialist teachers with setting taking place in the core subjects. Each year group consists of 3 classes with one being a streamed class within which possible scholarship talent is recognised. |
