Do you have trouble remembering your times tables? Do you have difficulty with spellings? Does algebra confuse you?
If the answer is ‘yes’ to any one of the above questions, then you may need to contact the Learning Enrichment Department! Here, we like to make life easier for you and give you the confidence to be a winner!
In our learning environment, certain things are always expected of us on a day-to-day period, e.g. perfect spelling; working out answers to mathematical problems in our head within a certain time; compartmentalising subjects, each of which require remembering copious amounts of facts and vocabulary by heart for tests; adjusting to different teaching styles; organising yourself for preps/homework; taking notes from the board; following a series of instructions for an activity in the correct order; the list is endless and it is no wonder we are so exhausted at the end of the day! Your teachers will always provide you with different strategies to help you with your studies (see their Department pages) but there are some of us who require more attention at getting these ‘tricks of the trade’ under our belt. If you are able to have lessons with our teachers in the LE Department, this will require dedication from you; things don’t happen over night! But with a little extra work, and by looking at the bigger picture, you will find that things will become clearer to you and you will be equipped for the rest of your academic life, and beyond!
