Our Year 7 students are currently exploring positive & negative space in their artwork. Using Sketches Pro, they are creating a digital drawing of an insect, focusing on symmetry. They're adding detail in black only, and then colour in the positive spaces. The end result will then be used as the design for a painting focusing on the negative space in colour and positive space in black and white.
